Framing progress

On Wednesday, 8-6 , we started framing in the
basement. This is a picture summary of our
progress last week.

It didn't take us long to frame and stand the walls.
The hard part was deciding for sure how and
where everything was supposed to be (it's a little
different than just having it on paper). Plus it
was in the 90's and was very hot working in
the sun!!

It rained on Friday night and was cooler on Saturday
so we worked on the rock retaining walls around
the basement windows. This is the window in the
other basement bedroom. Only a little bit more
framing and the basement is done!!

This is our resident squirrel. Each day she knocks
pine cones off the trees and gathers them up.
I pick up the ones that are in the basement and put
them in a box on the bathroom window sill. She
empties the box. I think she is going to be done
with her work long before we are!!
