Brooke's wedding

On Saturday, we attended the wedding of Brooke Deeds.
Brooke and her family have been our neighbors since she
was 2 years old (and Jake was 2 also). It has been
fun to see her and her brother Alex grow up with our
kids. They are not our neighbors anymore but they
are still our good friends.

A few years ago, Brooke was in a serious 4 wheeling
accident and suffered major injuries. They weren't
sure she would walk again. So what a joy to see her
walk down the isle with her dad, Dave.

This is the family: Dave's brother and his wife,
Dick and Nancy, Dave and Margo, Brooke and
Matt, Amanda and Alex (who just got married
the middle of July!).

Of course she looks happy. It was a beautiful

wedding and a perfect day!

They had two cakes--this one was a surprise

for Matt. Dave said they are both avid hunters.

Ahhh...the traditional cake...

They cut the cake and feed each other a piece very

appropriately. I think the crowd was disappointed

that there was no smooshing the cake into anyone's

face. I did hear Amanda say that she and Alex would

take care of that later, though.
