Finishing the basement was quite a process. First
we had to insulate where the basement opens to
the ridge. Lots of rocks!! (Hence the name "Rimrock"
for our area.)
Then the rough in plumbing...
...and back fill with dirt (and rocks) from the
excavation....
...then pea gravel....
...insulation on top of the pea gravel...
and, voila, cement!! A lot of work for two old
people, huh?! I could do a commercial for
Aleve.
Just a side note, we haven't seen Roman for a
couple of days. Guess he got tired of sleeping under
the mini X. But last night, Duane started it up to
move some dirt, and here comes Roman, down our
road on a dead run! He's back to sleeping under
it again.
Christi tagged us, and actually I've enjoyed learning some new
things about everyone...so here goes:
How to play this game of tag: Post these rules on your blog. List: 3 joys, 3 fears, 3 goals, 3 current obsessions/collections, 3 random surprising facts about yourself. Tag 3 people at the end of your post by leaving their names.
Can't speak for Duane but here goes for Shar:
3 joys:
1. My family!!!
2. Summer vacation!!
3. Flowers, trees, grass, deer, turkeys, moose, lakes, fishing--anything
to do with Mother Nature!
3 fears:
1. Losing a loved one.
2. Not having enough money to pay our bills.
3. Having to work until I'm 65.
3 goals:
1. Getting our house built!
2. Retiring!
3. Going on a mission.
3 obsessions/collections
1. Anything woodsie (is that a word?)
2. Dark chocolate (obsession--not a collection).
3. Good books.
3 random surprising facts
1. I hate to cook but don't mind cleaning.
2. I love working with my hands (building, fixing
cars, sewing, etc.)
3. I wrote to Duane faithfully while he was on his
mission (at least once every six months!).
Hmmm...now the fun part--who is "it"??? How about Kristina, Steve, and
Duane (only fair to hear from him too)--you're it!
