Jake, Richelle, Lincoln, and Tessa were brave
enough to endure the long trip to Grandma and
Grandpa's house. They spent a week with us
which we thoroughly enjoyed. Lincoln was a joy
to watch and to play with.
He played outside and each day he would kick
the pine cones off the road. He helped me water
the plants and spent a lot of time riding a little
trike. He found that if he started in the garage,
he could coast down the little slope and get a
pretty good ride. He also loved riding in the wagon
that Jake and Richelle bought while they were here.
Inside he played for hours in the loft. You could
often hear him singing Twinkle, Twinkle Little
Star. He loved harassing the cats--would love
and kiss them, then kick them and pull them
around by their tails. Cooter would meow and
run as soon as he saw Lincoln each morning.
Bubba was more tolerant and stuck around. The
morning that Jake and Richelle left, Lincoln was
very sleepy but did manage to say "Bubba home."
That would have been an interesting trip home!!
We had fun showing off our grandkids at
church. Lincoln sat on Grandpa's lap and
drew on the program. When I asked him
if he drew on his hand, he said, "Yip."
Tessa couldn't be more perfect. She
looked so cute dressed for church!!
She was so easy to have around. She would
sleep, wake up, eat, smile and coo until she got
sleepy and then start the cycle all over again.
Grandma spent hours holding her. I got addicted
to "Tessa time" and have had withdrawals since
they left. Our house is way too quiet without
Lincoln and Tessa. Oh, and we did enjoy Jake
and Richelle, too!! We were able to celebrate Richelle's
birthday while she was here. We love all of our
family so much and truly enjoy their company!!
Jake and Richelle, thanks for making such a long
trip to spend time with us!! We cherished every
moment!
