Working Hard

The last 3 weeks have been busy.
The first of May, Richelle, her brother
Phillip, cousin Tyler, and of course
Lincoln, came for a few days. Tyler
and Phillip helped Duane get the
fireplace ready to finish.

They helped but the sheeting on and
fit the mantle.

Duane got the tar paper on the fireplace. Also
he got the posts ready for the log railing.

After the tar paper came the scratch coat of
cement. This weekend we started putting rock
up. (Check next week for more fireplace pictures.)

Also in the last 3 weeks, we've worked on some
of the landscaping. I'm excited to start planting
and finishing outside.

We worked hard to get some flooring down in the
bedrooms upstairs before Richelle and Company
came. We didn't quite make it but we did get it
done in one bedroom. Richelle and Lincoln had
the best accommodations we could provide at this
point. Thanks for coming and thanks to Phillip
and Tyler for the help--it was very appreciated!!
